A PIECE OF HISTORY
We have here a beautiful panel designed by John Redman (quite large) that he has been trying to get displayed in a local RSL Club in Sydney.
So far they have blocked all attempts to have it hung, for whatever silly reasons are known only to them.
This is an impressive panel, as you can see by the size depicted below, & contains an accurate description of the battery's history & its involvement in Vietnam.
There are some priceless memories contained within the panel, and it would serve as a great honour to 103 Field Battery.
It has come at a great cost to John Redman, financially, but is tinged with sadness, as the nominated RSL club has declined to display it, for whatever silly reasons are known only to themselves.
If you would like to get behind John & help promote the display of the panel, or contribute to the cost thereof, please contact him by clicking on the button below.
Here are 2 photos of the panel, which I'm sure you would all be very proud of:
(it is very large, so you may have to scroll across to see the whole thing)
But to my way of thinking, if it were not for common soldiers trying to promote this sort of thing themselves, then there would be very few records left.
It is a very large panel, so it might take a while for the image to show, but I for one, think it is a piece of history that should be allowed to be on show somewhere.
So please get behind John & his vision for 103 Field Battery!!
